Neeltje’s Cottage offers the cozy charm of a forest cabin with the practical requirements of modern accessibility. It is located in the serene “De Krieckaert” holiday park in Gellik.

A 50 m² wooden chalet tucked away in a wooded area where the only neighbours you’ll hear are the birds. It is a perfect retreat within nature, ideal to explore the border region of Belgium and the Netherlands.

At Neeltje’s Cottage you can enjoy your morning coffee on one of the two large terraces surrounded by trees, or cozy up in the living room by the gas stove. When you’re ready to explore, you are perfectly positioned: just 15 minutes from the vibrant shops of Maastricht, 30 minutes from Hasselt and Aachen, and within easy reach of Limburg’s famous cycling paths.

Neeltje’s Cottage has been thoughtfully modified to ensure comfort for wheelchair users and guests with limited mobility. Check out the property’s key features:

Level Access: Ramps provide smooth entry to both the front and rear terraces.
Convenience: A dedicated parking space is located right near the cottage.
Forest Access: A flat forest path runs directly behind the cottage for easy nature rolls.
Handimove Ceiling Hoist: A continuous rail system runs from above the beds, through the bathroom, over the toilet, and into the shower. (Available with a bracket or a yoke; please bring your own sling).
Adjustable Sleeping: One single bed is on wheels with an electrically adjustable head and footrest (height adjustments available upon request).
Flexible Space: The second bed can be folded up to create extra turning space for wheelchairs, and a “bed parrot” (lifting pole) is available on request.
Roll-in Shower: A completely barrier-free shower area.
Seating Options: Two types of shower chairs are provided; a dedicated shower wheelchair is available upon request.
Toilet Features: Equipped with a raised seat and sturdy support rails.
Local Coordination: We can assist in arranging wheelchair-accessible taxis or professional home nursing care during your stay.
