Located in the heart of Little River on the Banks Peninsula, SiloStay redefines the rural landscape by transforming industrial grain silos into sophisticated, eco-friendly motel units.
Conceived by visionary Stuart Wright-Stow and realized by F3 Design, this award-winning complex prioritizes environmental sustainability through ingenious engineering. The site is powered by a custom-designed energy unit—housed in its own transparent silo—utilizing a gravity-fed wood pellet boiler to heat the entire complex.
Each two-story, 8.7-meter-high vessel is a masterclass in compact design, featuring a glazed roof peak for stargazing from a queen-sized bed, integrated kitchenettes, and a versatile layout that bridges the gap between industrial grit and modern comfort.
Silo 9 is the Accessible Ground Floor Silo, specifically engineered to provide a spacious, barrier-free experience without compromising on style. Unlike our two-story units, this silo is housed entirely on a single level to cater to guests requiring wheelchair access or those preferring a more open-plan layout. The interior features a custom-fitted kitchenette, a relaxed seating area, and an external balcony, all designed with a generous turning radius and ease of movement in mind. Whether you are traveling for a secluded getaway or a family trip, this unit offers the perfect blend of utility and high-end design.
The unit is thoughtfully appointed with modern amenities and flexible bedding to accommodate up to three adults and one infant. Guests can enjoy a wall-mounted satellite TV, a comprehensive media suite with MP3 and USB connectivity, and complimentary WiFi. For a restful night’s sleep, the queen and king-single beds are outfitted with premium feather and down duvets and electric blankets.
